Football ace dies on pitch

Tragic ... BrannstromA FOOTBALLER has died on the pitch in a tragic echo of Bolton ace Fabrice Muamba’s mid-match heart attack.

Swedish striker Victor Brannstrom, 29, had put his club Pitea IF 1-0 up and was jogging back when he collapsed.
Medics, who have not yet given a cause of death, failed to revive the player on Sunday.
Victor — who has played for Swedish top-flight side Helsingborg — collapsed in training earlier this year but tests revealed no problems.
Spokesman Christer Berglund said: “He was a healthy and damn nice guy with a wife and two kids. It’s horrible.”
Muamba, 24, “died” for 78 minutes after collapsing with heart failure in an FA Cup tie in March.
