Sarah Henson (pictured), the daughter of mega-church Bishop T.D. Jakes, has announced that she is divorcing her linebacker husband, Robert Henson (pictured), after four years of marriage and is asking for prayer on her personal website, reports the Examiner.com.

Henson, who leads the Women’s Ministry at the Potter’s House in
Dallas, was only 19-years-old when she married Robert, who was a
linebacker for the Washington Redskins but is now a free agent.  The
couple had a lavish ceremony that was attended by a celebrity list of
who’s who, such as Tyler Perry, Emmitt Smith, Tom Joyner, and Dr. Phil McGraw.
The pair went on to have a daughter, with Henson already having a son
from a previous relationship. At the time, Henson rocked the Christian
world when she became pregnant at 14. Ironically, Bishop Jakes is a staunch proponent of abstinence education.
The Bishop, whose congregation stands at about 30,000 members, admitted that the news of his daughter’s pregnancy was difficult but “love overrides everything.”
Despite the pressure, Jakes stood by his daughter — keeping her as his
chief concern — and not his image.
Meanwhile, Henson seems to be implying that both her and her children’s safety is being threatened:
After professional counseling and prayerful consideration, I have
decided to end my four-year marriage, Henson wrote. There are biblical
grounds supporting this decision and I have attempted every other
recourse but after multiple infractions over the course of the union,
and for my personal safety and that of my children, I have come to this
painful decision. Consequently,
Henson is calling for both prayer and privacy:
Now that it is made, I would ask for privacy while I navigate through
this difficult season in my life so that I may now concentrate on being
the best parent for my children possible.  Thank you for your prayers.
