Yinka Ayefele’s Ibadan Mansion to be Demolished

It’s troubling times for the popular singer Yinka Ayefele as his Ibadan mansion might be demolished by the Oyo State Government.

Sources say that on Friday, October 5, 2012 Ayefele, a physically-challenged but bestselling musician-performer learnt that the building (located on Falana Road, a few metres after Efunsetan round-about) had been marked for demolition.

According to reports, the Oyo State government is demolishing the mansion to give way for an 8-lane road being proposed by the state government.

We’re told Ayefele’s mansion contains a well equipped, standard audio and visual studio, two multi-purpose halls, an internet radio station (www.ayefelefreshfm.mobi) and several other offices. There are over 50 employees working there.

Questions are however arising; Did Ayefele observe the town planning rules? Did he obtain a certificate of occupancy before he commenced construction? Most importantly, will he receive compensation from the State government?
