Maheeda reveals the real reason she posts nudes

Maheeda was on Galaxy TV yesterday where she opened up on why she shares nudes on the internet. When poured with insults from callers, she tearfully explained she is still born again and her aim for doing it...
I’m not posting those nude pictures on the internet to teach people to start going naked, I posted them because I felt I am sexy and I love sexuality.
In Europe, where I live, at a certain age, parents will start to teach their children about sex education. But it is unfortunate that I came from this part of the world (Africa) where sentiment is attached to everything.
I’m 31 years old and I can’t pretend to behave like a baby or something. I’m sexy and I like it. I’m still spiritually inclined and I have some gospel songs which are not out yet. One of them is Papangolo.
On being a role model
I think the parents have a lot to do in that respect. They should try as much as possible to prevent their children from going naked on the streets.
They should teach them sex education. Those nude pictures you see is Maheeda. That is me. I am just expressing myself. I’m sexy and I am only appreciating that fact because I love sexuality.

Pastor Kumuyi - “Christmas is Idolatrous”

According to Punch, the General Overseer of the Deeper Life Christian MinistryPastor W.F Kumuyi has warned members of his church that it is idolatrous and unscriptural
Read what the pastor said below;

We don’t celebrate Christmas. It actually came from idolatrous background. That is why you don’t hear us sing what they call Christmas carol, Never! We always say it is the December retreat. We are only gathering together because it is the holiday period and love the lord more, and rededicate ourselves more. When you find anybody coming in, or any leader, trying to introduce the idolatry of mystery Babylon, that they call Christmas and you want to bring all the Christmas carol saying that is the day that Jesus was born, and you don’t find that in the Acts of the Apostles or in the early church, then you don’t find that in the church either. If you don’t know that before, now you know. We are not trying to make the church turn like the world. We want it to be like Jesus Christ, and more like the Apostles. If you don’t have that mind with us, then you have permission to go to other places.”
Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos, Monsignor Gabriel Osu,  responded to the statement.
“I don’t know what he means by saying the practice of celebrating Christmas is wrong.
Is he saying that Christ wasn’t born? That he didn’t come to die for us? Does he not celebrate his own birthday? Do Kumuyi’s pastors not celebrate him? It is not everything I react to; some people just seek attention. If Kumuyi is a Christian, then he must believe in Christ.
The celebration of Christmas didn’t just start today; it is too public an event for anyone to say that they don’t know what it is about. If Kumuyi is condemning the commercialisation of Christmas, I can understand that. Christ came to redeem us from our lost state; this was actualised through his coming, his birth; that is why we celebrate Christmas. It is the fulfilment of God’s promise. I saw him on the television a few days ago. He was in Akwa Ibom State and was the chief preacher during their Christmas celebration event. Kumuyi is just saying what he feels; he is not making any doctrinal statement.”

No Woman Can Resist a Tall Dark and Handsome Man?

What are we calling the TDH Effect? It is that effect that Tall, Dark and Handsome men have on most women. Any woman they touch or smile at turns to mush, just look at Oprah's megawatt smile with Idris Elba! She shared this picture on FB with the caption, "Idris, can you tell how happy I was to meet you?" She looks star struck, lol... Have any TDH man ever had that effect on you? How do you resist? LOL...

Mandela statue unveiled in South Africa capital

South Africa has unveiled a gigantic statue of anti-apartheid fighter Nelson Mandela at the Union Buildings in its capital. The mood was joyous Monday in Pretoria as a military band played and fighter jets flew overhead to honor Mandela after 10 days of mourning over his death ended Sunday with his burial. President Jacob Zuma presided over the unveiling, which preceded a party in celebration of the Day of Reconciliation, a national holiday.

The statue stands on the grounds of the Union Buildings, where Mandela delivered his inaugural speech after becoming South Africa's first black president in 1994. The buildings had been a hated symbol of the apartheid regime to many South Africans.Mandela was buried Sunday at his ancestral home in the village of Qunu.

Angel Appear During Worship In RCCG

Strange things are really happening these days. It is left for you to believe them or doubt...
According to the story, a Lagos-based Christian band, The Perfected Praise Singers, were doing their thing at a Redeemed Church branch in Ebute-Metta, Lagos, and some people were taking pictures with their Ipads as the praise and worship went on inside the church.
A young boy used his parent Ipad to take pictures too and when they got home the picture above of an Angel was among the clips they saw in the Ipad. Wow! If this is true, then you all need to be careful when next you are in church, especially during praise and worship session. You never know who could be around.

OJB Appreciates His First Wife In Interview; Acquires New Land Rover Jeep & Reconstructs House

OJB and wife Mamma J just had their first exclusive interview since they returned last week, with HipHopWorld.
Excerpts:
  • Why did you come back secretly?
You know it’s a public thing, yet personal too and after the surgery there were lots of restrictions like don’t shake hands, don’t hug people, always put on a surgical mask if you have to go out, for the next six months.
So I just have to be careful.

  • What do you have to say about the controversies that surrounded donations towards your kidney transplant?
Well, there are well meaning and bitter people in Naija. Most people were just complaining and these people didn’t even donate. All the figures flying in the air then were just fake and make-belief from different angles because if we had the money we wouldn’t have the governor donate N16million.
Lots of cheques that some people donated bounced. I don’t want to mention names and when we called them to come for their cheques they didn’t come for it.
We didn’t want to talk about it in the media because it was about saving a life.

  • How would you describe your wife, who volunteered to donate one of her kidneys?
I will say she is a wonderful person because it is one thing if God is telling you to do something but another to do it. It takes a lot of courage to actually do it. Just as Jesus had made the water for Peter to walk on, Peter needed a lot of courage to take that step and that was what she did at that dying minute.
Even when the doctors came to tell her that they would have to cut her all the way to the back and would have to remove a rib so they could have access to the kidney and if after that you still go ahead to do it then that is serious courage.
I will say she is a courageous woman.

OJB’s new jeep
  • We heard that you are lodged in a hotel for now because your house is undergoing reconstruction?
Yes. Someone by the name Felix Edebo actually spoke to me about that before the surgery and advised I should do a reconstruction because of hygiene during recovery.
I was reluctant because of finances, he said he’d give me a call and before he left he gave me $1,000USD.
Days later, he called and asked for my account details and paid in N6 million for the reconstruction and still told me he had a gift for me, and then he gave me the keys to a Land Rover jeep.
We are having an extension to a bungalow which will be the main house, because the way the house was structured originally had studio with it. It needs to change, people come into the studio a lot and I have to control the hygiene. So I have to separate the two in order to sanitize the house.

  • When are you hoping to get back to work?
I guess my first work is going to be with P. Square. Hopefully we’ll be doing something as soon as possible, and then mix some of my old songs.
Using my experience to help people is another thing I want to do and very soon I’ll start a foundation.
What lesson has this experience taught you?
It’s more spiritual really. I see it as, anybody that has God should be anxious for nothing’, because he has you in mind, you might think He doesn’t but He does. It has changed my whole perspective now.

  • What’s the surgical mask you are wearing meant for?
I have to go around with a mask for sanitization because when you have a kidney transplant your immune system goes down and your hygiene level increases to avoid some flu or bacteria, which could be worse. So when you see me on the way and I don’t shake you, don’t feel that ‘this guy is a snub.’ It’s just part of the precautions I have to follow.
  • ON DONATING KIDNEY TO OJB: MY BROTHERS AND MOTHER WERE AGAINST IT, MAMA J. SAYS
OJB’s wife Mama J speaks to HipHopWorld, hesitantly.
  • You must be courageous, how did you make the decision to donate one of your kidneys?
Should I use the word ‘courageous’? I’d rather say it was just the grace of God.
  • Many people would berate you for that kind of move, how do you feel?
Not that I have not heard a lot of people talk or say all sorts of things, but I’m not quick to judge or criticize somebody because I’m not in that person’s position. So the person talking needs to be in my position.
You can say whatever because you are not in the situation. I was in that situation, facing the decision, it was a do or die situation. It’s either I do it or he loses his life.
I didn’t give it for any glory or anything. I gave it because if he is alive, it is for my own good. So there is nothing to it, I didn’t see it as anything from day one, I asked God to help me and give me the courage and He did.
Every step, every process was difficult because a lot of things they told me were enough for me to say I wasn’t doing again.
If I should think about the cut, the pain affects some people psychologically because it goes to your brain and you can easily go mad if you are not strong enough.
Even till now I still feel the pain, there are some positions you cannot sleep like you can’t sleep on your right side for too long, you can’t sleep on your left or face up. I still feel the pain but now it’s not the pain but the joy that everything is ok that keeps me going.

  • Did you face challenges from your family at all?
OH…of course I did. My brothers were like no oh you are not going to do it, my mum didn’t even talk to me.
My dad was like what do we do, even if we tell you not to do it you will still go ahead, so let’s not waste time. It’s not just the fact that it’s OJB; he is my husband, the father of my children.
I don’t know the reason I will not give him, there’s no reason I shouldn’t give him if I am the perfect match for it.

  • Apart from God, who would you be grateful to?
I want to be grateful to all Nigerians, in fact when the whole thing happened, the reaction of Nigerians shocked me and I was like ‘are you this big?’ Nigeria is a very wonderful country o!
The reaction of Nigerians brought tears to my eyes because I was like yes, he needed help, and he said it.
But I wasn’t expecting the massive response from people; everybody was coming from far and wide. Even people I don’t even know, people that he had helped longtime ago and has forgotten about it came.
Governor Fashola himself, Lagos state as a whole and even the Governor of Cross River state. It was too much. In fact I want to say a big thank you to Nigerians, everybody and even you people that are here because it is something.
Every contribution and penny went a long a way. I want to say thank you to everybody, yes God really used a lot of people.

NNPC Rejects CBN's $49.8bn Non-remittance Claim

Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi

Chineme Okafor

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Tuesday said the  report credited to the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, where he alleged that it withheld the sum of $49.8 billion representing about 76 per cent of the total crude oil revenues from January 2012 to July 2013 was false.
The corporation in a statement signed by its General Manager, Media Relations Department, Dr. Omar Farouk Ibrahim, in Abuja said the allegation by the CBN was borne out of its  misunderstanding of the workings of the oil and gas industry and the modality for remitting crude oil sales revenue into the federation account.
Ibrahim stated that contrary to the CBN's claim that it lifted about 594.024 million barrels of crude oil between January 2012 and July 2013, the actual crude oil lifted within the period was 618.55 millon barrels and that the CBN had under-quoted the figures.
He said in the statement: "For the avoidance of doubt, it needs to be stated that the figure of 594.024 million barrels of crude oil given by the CBN as the total crude oil lifting for the period of January 2012 to July 2013 does not represent the correct picture of crude oil lifting for the period.
“From our records, the correct figure is 618.55million barrels. This shows that the CBN understated the actual crude lifting by 4.13 per cent."
Ibrahim further explained that revenues from crude oil liftings are in various categories, namely equity crude, Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), royalty, third party financing and the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC).
He added that revenues from each of these categories are statutorily collected by different agencies of the government and that the NNPC collects only one of the aforementioned categories, namely equity crude.
"Petroleum Profit Tax is collected by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), royalty goes to the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), third party financing goes for research, development, programme and satellite fields development, while NPDC goes to NPDC for upstream development," he stated.
Ibrahim also noted that: "While NNPC pays proceeds from equity crude directly to the federation account with the CBN, the FIRS and DPR pay PPT and royalty respectively into the federation account with the CBN.
The sum total of these proceeds make up the alleged unremitted revenues."
"The 24 per cent of total crude oil revenue receipts which the CBN governor is reported to have acknowledged that NNPC remitted represents the proceeds from the equity lifting which NNPC is directly responsible for.
The alleged unremitted 76 per cent was paid to the agencies that are statutorily empowered to receive them for onward remittance into the federation account," Ibrahim added.
He also stressed the need for institutions of the federal government and top government functionaries to seek understanding of issues that are not clear to them from relevant agencies rather than go public with misleading information that is capable of creating public disaffection, adding that the NNPC is available at all times to meet with all relevant stakeholders to clarify such issues
