I'm Not Part Of Jonathan Or Atiku-Led PDP ––Says Obasanjo
Contrary to the expectations of many, ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo has
declared that he is interested in the peaceful resolution of the crisis
in the PDP than pitching his tent with either of the faction. Obasanjo
is of the believe that the PDP will lose the 2015 elections if the
crisis is not resolved.
Obasanjo had told Jonathan one-on-one to forget contesting in 2015 in order to allow peace reign in party, but Jonathan told him that his people want him to contest again.
Reiterating his boss' position, Obasanjo's chief of staff, Deacon Victor Durodola, said:
“He does not belong to any faction of the party; he is a leader of the PDP. Baba is a former President of the country under the platform of PDP, former chairman, Board of Trustees of the party, you don’t expect him to belong to any faction of the party.
"As far as he is concerned, PDP is one and what is happening is a disagreement within the PDP family; it is a family affair which will soon come to an end. Baba is a mediator and you don’t expect a mediator to take sides in a feud.
"Those who are insinuating that Baba belongs to one faction or the other are missing it. It is his wish that peace and unity return to the party and that is what he is working on till this hour."

MTN Project Fame 2013 Winner: Olawale Ojo
The decision had been taken by fans of MTN-sponsored Project Fame West
Africa music reality show who voted for their preferred candidates among
the ‘Sensation Six’, as the 2013 finalists were called.
With just the collating company, Alexander Forbes armed with the result, the ceremony took place Saturday night at the Ultima Studio, Lekki, Lagos, as the contestants graced the stage, singing their last songs, each, just to entertain the studio guests.
Amidst the tension and anxiety that pervaded the studio, petit-frame contestant, Olawale Ojo, was declared winner of the sixth edition of the continental music show.
That night, the last shot at music, by the 400level Agronomy Student of Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, was a near-perfect rendition of Asa’s Beautiful. He had sang it half-way when he delved into the Fuji genre, not losing focus of the theme of the song. He had sang his mother’s praise in a high tempo tempo fuji beat and sliding back smoothly, to Asa’s slow and sonorious tune as he wraps up a performance that got the audience clapping excitedly.
Even though he is more at home with the Jazz genre, perhaps his versatility was what endeared the fans to him, gathering the highest number of votes that upstaged other five finalists.
‘The Pimp’, as he is fondly called by friends, won for himself, N5m cash prize, a brand new car and one-year recording contract for his effort in the competition.
Olawale thus become the sixth winner of the popular musician reality show.

A Letter From A Mother To Her Daughter
If when we talk, I repeat the same thing a thousand times, don’t interrupt to say: “You said the same thing a minute ago”... Just listen, please. Try to remember the times when you were little and I would read the same story night after night until you would fall asleep.
When I don’t want to take a bath, don’t be mad and don’t embarrass me. Remember when I had to run after you making excuses and trying to get you to take a shower when you were just a girl?
When you see how ignorant I am when it comes to new technology, give me the time to learn and don’t look at me that way... remember, honey, I patiently taught you how to do many things like eating appropriately, getting dressed, combing your hair and dealing with life’s issues every day... the day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through.
If I occasionally lose track of what we’re talking about, give me the time to remember, and if I can’t, don’t be nervous, impatient or arrogant. Just know in your heart that the most important thing for me is to be with you.
And when my old, tired legs don’t let me move as quickly as before, give me your hand the same way that I offered mine to you when you first walked.
When those days come, don’t feel sad... just be with me, and understand me while I get to the end of my life with love.
I’ll cherish and thank you for the gift of time and joy we shared. With a big smile and the huge love I’ve always had for you, I just want to say, I love you... my darling daughter."

Why is Jonathan Not Looking Into Obama's Eyes As A Man?
President Goodluck Jonathan's meeting with President Barrack Obama
in the US on television, I was embarrassed as it was obvious Jonathan
was struggling, again.
I thought I was the only one who noticed until I saw this piece by Mr. Tunde Fagbenle on the same issue. It is sure an interesting read: "Eyeball To Eyeball Please, Mr. President"
The photograph splashed on the front page of virtually all Nigerian newspapers of Tuesday, September 24, was of our President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, finally in a one-on-one with America’s President, Barak Obama. I say ‘finally’ because it is probably the first such opportunity for a private tête-à -tête between the two — something, from all indications, the Nigerian presidency had long longed for.
But it wasn’t a flattering photograph at all. There was President Jonathan obviously avoiding eye contact with Barak Obama who was looking directly into the eyes of Jonathan.

I didn’t like it at all. The message, the body language, was
unwholesome. In the American culture, it says of only one thing: you are
a shifty guy.
However, I can’t knock President Jonathan too hard. The fault is not entirely his. His handlers must bear some of the blame, unless, of course, they prepared him and he just “forgot”! The business of international relations, especially at such high diplomatic level, is a tough and dicey one. Those playing the host are as groomed as those visiting, but the onus is more on the visiting dignitaries to know and respect the norms and culture of the host.
Eyeball to eyeball is a delicate thing. In our Nigerian culture (if one can be permitted to assume one) looking directly into someone’s eyes, especially an elder or boss, is viewed as rude and confrontational. And we grow up generally accustomed to avoiding eye contact as a form of politeness. It is unfortunate because in Europe and America the interpretation is the exact opposite. Eye contact is the rule; making eye contact is interpreted as showing interest, paying attention, and a sign of self-confidence.
But if it makes us feel good, America had their own horror of seeing their president (Obama) bowing to greet Japanese Emperor Akihito when Obama visited Japan in November 2009. Americans called it a “treasonous” bow. For them it was tantamount to treason for an American president to bow (damn diplomatic etiquette) to any other human being! That was an instance of carrying ‘respect of the host’s culture’ one bow too far!
I must admit that, other than his elocution, Dr. Jonathan is lately showing some signs of maturing somewhat into the dignity required of the office. But, please, President Jonathan, these things – body language, et al – are important. You are our President and presidential we want you to look – and talk!

Nollywood Actor Jim Iyke Delivered Of Evil Spirits At TB Joshua's Synagogue
Nollywood
actor, Jim Iyke was allegedly delivered at Prophet TB Joshua's
Synagogue Church and it was shown on Emmanuel TV. The controversial
actor was said to have fallen under his ministration and started crying
as he went through the deliverance. A spirit spoke through him and said,
he was the cause of his setback and disappointment and that it was only
God's grace that had kept him. The Pastor said he has been delivered
from the spirit that had kept him from finding love and getting married.
But when the spirit left and when Jim came back to reality, the first
thing he asked the ushers was 'Where are my shoes mehn'. This happened
today on Emmanuel TV (TB Joshua's TV). Watch the video and check out

I've Had Sex With Only 4 Men & My Friends Are Condemning Me
This is kind of funny thou. There are some 15 years old girls in
secondary school who's had it with well over 10 different guys, but they
cannot be categorized among decent girls. Now, this girl is in a
university and just 18 but has had it with four different guys. She told
one of her girlfriends and the story leaked.
She is bitter that her friends are calling her an "ashi". See her story below:
I am 18 years old and in my second year in a private university. I started having sex when I turned 16 after leaving secondary school and I have had four sexual partners so far. I dated 2 of the boys while the other 2 were just flings.
Recently I confided in a friend the number of men I've been with and I later saw text exchanges between her and another mutual friend of ours laughing at me and criticizing me. They called me all sorts of names including wayward and loose.
I've been with only four men, is that too much for a girl my age? I thought it was the norm so why are my friends condemning me?
