With her hit Keeping Up With the Kardashians television program and status as a style icon – not to mention being the girlfriend of singer/songwriter Kanye West – Kim Kardashian had a lot to offer pop culture aficionados in 2012.
Which is why it is not surprising the 32-year-old topped the year’s list of the most-searched person on Bing, the Web search engine.
But who did Kim unseat?
Kim grabbed the No. 1 spot back from her close pal, Justin Bieber, who ironically unseated Kim the year prior.
Bieber, however, still reigned as the most-searched musician, with the late Whitney Houston following a close second.
This year’s list of the top 10 most-searched people include:
1. Kim Kardashian
2. Justin Bieber
3. Miley Cyrus
4. Rihanna
5. Lindsay Lohan
6. Katy Perry
7. Selena Gomez
8. Jennifer Aniston
9. Nicki Minaj
10. Taylor Swift
Those who made it in top 10 for the first time included singers Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift.
Former American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez, The X Factor judge/mentor Britney Spears, new mom Megan Fox and Lady Gaga all dropped out of the top 10, however.
