We Will Only Dialogue With FG Through Buhari; Says Boko Haram

The dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram has finally stated its terms for a ceasefire stating that it would only dialogue with the government through former military Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari and a select group of Northern elders.

In a teleconference with journalists, second in command to the Boko Haram leader, Abu Mohammed Ibn Abdulazeez, on Thursday said the group would only dialogue through the following persons -
Former Head of State General Muhammadu Buhari, former Yobe State Governor, Bukar Abba Ibrahim, Ambassador Gaji Galtimari and Barr Aisha Alkali Wakil, Barr Alkali Wakil as well as Dr Shettima Ali Monguno.

He also insisted that due to the Nigerian government's insincerity any peace talks must be held in Saudi Arabia.

The group also gave as pre-condition for any ceasefire the arrest and prosecution of former Borno State Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff and the compensation of the group for the destruction of their homes and mosques.

The Goodluck Jonathan-led government is yet to respond to this latest demand from the group.
