Facebook Lover Faces Attempted Murder Charged Over Sex Fight

Single ladies should learn to control their greed and don't go out with any guy they are not comfortable with in order not to find themselves in such unfortunate situation.

The Nigeria Police, Lagos State command, is set to prosecute the 26-year-old man who allegedly pushed down his Facebook lover from a multi-storey building, following a disagreement over sex.

The Divisional Police Officer of Bar Beach, Victoria Island, Lagos, Mr. Fayoade Adegoke, told NAN on Thursday that the suspect (name withheld) might be charged with attempted murder.

Recall that Nkiruka, a Linguistic student of the University of Lagos, speaking from her hospital bed, said she went clubbing with the man she met on Facebook (a social media) barely a week earlier, and ended up in his family home at 1004 Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos.

She noted that the suspect had earlier talked about sex but she claimed she told him she was menstruating. Nkiruka said that on getting to the house, the man tore her dress and tried to rape her.

According to Nkiruka, the man thereafter pushed her down from the third floor of the building because of her refusal to have sex with him.

However, preliminary findings indicated she jumped by herself to escape from the man. Both families are engaged in reconciliatory talks over the matter but the man will be charged to court should they fail to reach amicable settlement.
