Bola Tinubu's Stand On The New APC
National Leader of All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola
Tinubu, says the party is not about himself, General Buhari or any
leader of the APC, but about the nation and the need and commitment to
rescue Nigeria from inept leadership.
Former Governor Tinubu, in response to a question about the significance of the five former PDP governors who joined the APC recently and the implications for Nigeria, said, "The APC is not about Tinubu, Buhari
or any of its leaders. It is about the nation and how we can come together and work together to rescue Nigeria. The implication is change. We want to change the way things are done by working together and investing our ideas. We must change the way we do things.

"Imagine from the 60's till date. The cutlass of the 60s cannot be used
for farming now. We need leaders that can think outside the box."
The AP leader spoke at the 2012/2013 Call to Bar ceremony of the Nigeria Law School which held in Abuja on Friday at the International Conference Center.
"Nigeria needs a democratic revolution that will unleash infrastructural development and massive industrialization. Nigeria is a blessed nation with talented youth, whose potentials must be harnessed for the development of our country. The lamentations must stop. After so many years of lamentation, with action we must lead the new resolve to rally for the much needed change our country badly needs," Tinubu said.
Tinubu condemned the posture of the government to the continued strike by ASUU and said we should be more concerned about losing more brains to the outside world.
"We are not in a military era. The language used shows a government out of tune with the general feelings of the people of this country. Nigeria cannot continue to afford to lose her best brains to the diaspora," he
concluded.

Why Peter Okoye Married Lola Who's Older Than Him
Probably, part of Jude Okoye and Peter Okoye's problem is because Lola is older than him. Read this...
Each time I read the nasty comments about Lola Omotayo Okoye my heart gets heavy. I do not know her in person- just like most of you. She has been called "old", "shameless" even a "gold digger"! Some "kind" people even empathize with her and "understand" that Peter married her because of her kids.
Let's get a few things straight:
Each time I read the nasty comments about Lola Omotayo Okoye my heart gets heavy. I do not know her in person- just like most of you. She has been called "old", "shameless" even a "gold digger"! Some "kind" people even empathize with her and "understand" that Peter married her because of her kids.
Let's get a few things straight:
- Nobody has the right to choose another person's spouse
- I was in school with Psquare, Peter had a girlfriend-Ada-whom he was crazy about. Ada is a splitting image of Lola...does that imply anything?
- Age is not the determinant of a good marriage; either party could be older...
- Prince Charles married "much younger" Diana, how did that go? How old is his present wife-whom he loved all along?
- Prince Williams forsook all the "younger girls" in England and married an older bride
- Sullivan Chime married a "much younger" Clara; again, how did that go
- For those who went as far as calling Lola a runs girl, who sleeps with her "uncles", do you know this lady? Do you know this for a fact or is it just hear say? Why defame an innocent lady who is minding her own business? Do you think Peter is a fool?
- For those who justify these rumours with the story of her living in a "mansion" in Ikoyi - shebi you people say she is old? Do you know she has a career, did you expect that at her "old age" she wouldn't have risen through the ranks?
- For those of you who see only young brides as a wise choice, it is because you haven't gotten married yet. There are some childish attributes the young wife will have that will make you almost regret the marriage - that is if you don't do that eventually
- Peter knew very well what he was doing. He wants peace, companionship and joy. A mature and experienced mother for his kids. He saw all the "young girls" world over before he made his beautiful choice.
Mystery Healing River Springs Up In Enugu State
A healing mystery stream has surprisingly appeared in Nachi community in
the Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, almost 42 years after it
allegedly surfaced and disappeared in the same place.
The miracle stream, as it is now fondly called by millions of Nigerians, both young and old, especially sick ones and their relations, surfaced and disappeared in 1972 and reappeared this time around in the area about two weeks ago.
According to Vanguard reports, the stream, which has continued to attract healing seekers, was first noticed by a Fulani herdsman who went to the area to feed his cattle, and suddenly saw water gushing out from a sandy farm land close to where he was standing.
Before the Fulani man could turn his back, the entire area had water about five feet deep.
The Fulani herdsman was said to have alerted some farmers in the community about what he saw. They went to see things for themselves, after which they took the news to the traditional ruler of the community, His Royal Highness Igwe Onuigbo, Obi (11) of Nachi.
A visit to the wonder stream on Tuesday showed that the community had turned it into a pilgrimage centre with the development, opening up windows of business for the people, especially plastic container sellers, food vendors, commercial motorcyclists and vehicle operators as they now make brisk businesses.
Healing testimonies
Some people said to have been taken to the stream last Saturday with crutches and other supporting devices, were said to have gone home rejoicing after dipping themselves in the stream.
One Mr. Cyril Eneh, a civil servant, shortly after coming out of the water was quoted as saying: “Indeed, this is a miraculous water, people with different sicknesses have been coming here to receive their healing. And I also have the faith and strong belief that God Almighty, who provided this water will use it to tackle every health challenge in my life.”
Also speaking, an octogenarian and community leader in Nachi, Mr. Festus Udeh, said the stream surfaces and disappears every 20 to 30 years, adding that it forbids evil things. He said any evil doer that goes to the stream might run into serious problem.

Meanwhile, there had been scores of healing testimonies from sick people who either swam in or drank from the stream. According to reports, dozens of people, young and old including security operatives were seen fetching the water just as many were taking their bath in the stagnated stream, believing it would cure ailments. The stream is about 4km away from the old Oji River/Onitsha road.

ANGRY READERS WRITE ALEX FERGUSON'S AUTOBIOGRAPHY PUBLISHERS OVER FACTUAL ERRORS
Angry
readers of Alex Ferguson's best-selling autobiography have expressed
their disappointment over a host of factual errors found in the 402-page
book. 45 of them were identified. Hodder and Stoughton, publishers of
the UK's fastest-selling non-fiction book have admitted their fault and
are even willing to reimburse one particular reader who remains unhappy.
Replying one of the couple of mails received on the matter, Jamie Hodder-Williams, CEO of the publishing outfit wrote thus, "We did in fact go through several stages of factchecking with this book, with a reading from within Manchester United as well as from a specialist football fact-checker. Although a very large number of corrections were made we plainly did not pick up everything. Possible corrections that have so far been helpfully pointed out are being checked and will be included in future reprints.
"I am sorry that you feel that your expenditure on the book was not worthwhile. If you would like to send
the book to me at our head office address, stating where you bought the book and at what price, we will
refund your expenditure and postage."
Some of the errors found in the book include.
(1) Roy Keane's spell at Manchester United was for 11 years instead of 12
(2) Ryan Giggs made his debut for Manchester United at age 16 instead of 17
(3) Rio Ferdinand triumphed against
Manchester City in the semi-final second leg (of the Carling Cup) in 2009 at Old Trafford' when the year was actually 2010.

INEC Speaks At Last: Anambra Election Is Inconclusive
Anambra State governorship election ended in an anti-climax on Monday
morning as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)
declared it inconclusive. At exactly 6:10am, the Returning Officer, Prof
James Epoke, who is the Vice-Chancellor, University of Calabar,
declared that a supplementary election would be conducted at a new date
to be fixed by INEC.
The main reason for declaring the election inconclusive, said Prof Epoke, is that, for a candidate to emerge as the winner, he must have scored not only the highest number of votes cast, but should also ganner 25 per cent in two-third of the local government areas in the state.
Apparently because of the large number of cancelled votes, which stood at 113,113, no candidate scored the required percentage to be declared winner of the election.
Therefore, the commission had to now examine the votes of the winner and the runner-up to determine if the difference is less than the cancelled figure.
Whereas, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Chief Willie Obiano polled 174,710 votes that is very questionable, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Comrade Tony Nwoye polled 94,956 votes.
Because the controversial difference in the figures between the first two candidates, which is 79,754 is less than the cancelled votes, which 113,113, the commission could not declare anybody the winner.

Anambra Governorship Crisis: Market Women Protesting Against INEC
“We want to tell the world that we are not happy with the Anambra election and we were not allowed to vote due to the lapses. “We were disenfranchised and at the end of the day, results will be announced to us.This election should be cancelled. Meanwhile, security personnel at the INEC office stopped the women from entering the premises. There were complaints by the electorate over cases of disenfranchisement in the election.
Mr Tony
Nwonye, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and members
of his family could not vote as their names did not appear on the
voters’ register. Sen. Chris Ngige of the APC also alleged that most
voters in Anambra Central could not vote due to late and non-arrival of
poll officials and materials. INEC rescheduled voting in 65 polling
units in Obosi, Idemili North local government, for Sunday
Funke Akindele -The Right Man Will Come and Marry Me
Weeks have turned to months since actress Funke Akindele called it a
quit with Mr. Kehinde Oloyede as their marriage crumbled. Reality has
finally set in and the actress is already missing a companion around
her, she would want to get settled down fast and begin the business of
bringing up the little ones, her own kids, if only the right man comes
along.
Funke has urged any man who is interested in her not to be afraid to come for her. She said:
“To all the guys scared of approaching me for marriage, I say, you don’t have to let inferiority complex to sort of overwhelm you. If God says you are the right person for me, then nothing will stop it.”
She told Entertainment Express that her mates are already mothers and she want to join the train. “Perhaps, this is how God wants me to be for now. When the time comes, and that time could be anytime, I hope to put acting on hold for a family,” she added.

She also bares her mind on her present fate: "Man proposes and God disposes. So
people should keep their fingers crossed and pray for me to meet the
bone of my bone and the flesh of my flesh and not somebody else.
It is one of my dreams to bear children soon and I believe it will come
to pass soon. Once I start my home, I hope to cut down on acting so that
I can give my family more attention."

Alibaba Exposes the Real Things that Kill Relations & Marriages
This morning, I posted a pm on my BB asking what makes a relationship
strong? I also offered some hints... Is it money? Communication? Sex?
Trust? Understanding? Respect? Kids? Religion? Attention? Support?
Amazingly, over 45 people jumped on the hints. Some even agree that all of them make a relationship strong and last longer. Some even said once you have say, 7 of those things covered it will definitely be strong.
THEY WERE ALLLLLLLLLLL SOOOOOOO WRONG!!!! That's why we are battling every day.

THEY WERE ALLLLLLLLLLL SOOOOOOO WRONG!!!! That's why we are battling every day.
We put the ABUNNA before the horse. The things that weaken a
relationship are more important. They look like nothing, but as they
gradually eat into the vitals of the relationship, the foundation begin
to wobble and eventually cave in. That's what leads to the
irreconcilable differences you often hear about...
It is easy to quickly lump these micro killers under a general factor, but trust me, dealing with them individually works better than just saying "The problem we have, She does not respect me". Not respecting is the final destination. There were many steps to that point.
When you fail to provide in the house, when you talk down on, no show of gratitude, making others look down on, not involving the other in decision making... Finally it builds up to the person short changed losing all forms of respect. So it's not LACK OF RESPECT. it's what led to it.
I have seen a MUSLIM husband and a Christian wife live till death put them apart. So it's not religion. You can practice different religion but still be married longer than even Pastors. It's not about prayer is the key... Do you treat your husband like the religion you practice say you should? Do you relate with him like a friend? Do you forgive? Do you hold on to issues that have been apologized for and bring same up like its fresh wounds?
Communication. What you say. When you say it. How you say it. Which should not be said. Where you say it. Who you say it to.... May be the reason that the foundation is shaky. You can't use the tone you use to talk to your driver, plumber, brother, househelp... And think you have communicated. If you say things that you ought not to say at all, and you now even say it in public, TI RE TI BA e NIYEN. You want something but instead of saying you want it, you are saying, "Even Bayo of all people takes his wife to the movies!" You had better renew your DSTV... Because you are going no where!
Some women say men DONT give them attention. And, according to them, it's very important in a relationship. Some men even say they DONT get the attention they used to get like when they got married. Selfish bastard. She is raising your kids, running the home, looking good for you and being a good employee to a company, if she is employed. So, bear in mind that the attention may not be like you used to get. And understanding matters.

For women who crave attention. A MAN WHO IS AT YOUR BECK AND CALL 24/7
is a liability. Layabiliteeeee! So if you call or he doesn't call as
often as he used to, it's not lack of attention. It's hustle. Same goes
for the woman. Like my wife, she gets home sometimes 8 or 9pm... There
are people who get home 10 or 11 sef
Finance, I agree without a doubt make a relationship stronger. But it doesn't if that is used as the yardstick for judging the strength of love. If it becomes a yardstick, then the person dropping more rules the relationship and if there is someone with a deeper pocket, oleku!
Simple gratitude, sometimes matters more than sex. I mean it. That someone calls you out of the blues to say thanks for that and this... This and that, can make a relationship stronger. Some people do not know how to say thanks. And on top of that, they will be giving people the impression that the person they are with, is not doing anything. You had better put your mouth where your money is. Because LOBATAN will be a word you will get used to when the generosity is withdrawn. And you will fade into oblivion. Say thank you. Say I appreciate what you are doing. Sometimes I tell my wife, thanks for supporting me oooo. Nothing spoil. Thanks for accepting me the way I am OOO. Thanks for making me a better guy. Be grateful. It's the two of you DAMN!
Very often you hear, I don't trust him again. It is not an airtime credit that you just loaded. It is that message that you get that says, your call credit has been exhausted PLS load an all in one card. Thank you. That is, all the different things that you have been doing (calls made) have eaten up all your credit (trust). You're either going to reload or use a business centre. Trust is rechargeable. Some may give you credit window... What you do with it restores or further erodes what was left.
Friends can strengthen your relationship or burn it up. Some friends will tell you you are stupid to tolerate your bobo having a girlfriend, yet they are still with their own bobo that is sleeping with their HOUSEHELP and neighbour. Or even have fathered a child her BESTO is carrying. But will inflame your own affair. It's not all advice you get that fit your relationship. But some friends will make your relationship stronger through visits, encouragement, settling small quarrels and telling you your relationship is their model.
I would have written about the role of the family, but trust me, you all know that well enough. Or has your African Movie Magic been suspended?
Next one JARE.
Looking good. This can not be over emphasized. You can do all the other things, but trust me, some people will only go to certain places with you if you look presentable. This has nothing to do with love. Are your clothes well put together? Do you smell well? A good smell, that announces your arrival can delay your departure, I read sometime back. Even if you don't break a bank, you can look good and groomed, with far less than you think. Start with baffling, sponging, shaving, trimming, and the likes...
You are not a microwave. Stop getting hot for no reason. Even for any reason, control yourself. If you look around hot tempered babes are tolerated. Not craved. That your sharp mouth is for what? Are you a Gillette brand ambassador? Cut it out!
Me, that is writing this much, do you know that, the amount of time I spend on line has become an issue with my madam at the top. I had to reduce it. No need to sacrifice my relationship to please some people. Same people will be so delighted to read that my wife and I are quarreling over one message some babe sent me online. So don't send messages, call me when she is not around... HEHEHEHE
Ok I think I have let the comedian part of me kick in.
As I was saying, beyond the core issues, a lot of micro and macro things that may seem like nothing but are significant tug at our relationships. Let's pay attention...
Have a nice day!

Pastor Takes His Wife's Pants For Money Rituals In Lagos
A sad housewife, Caroline Omoseebi, has asked the Alakuko Customary
Court in Lagos State to dissolve her 44-year-old marriage to her
husband, Pastor Ayemisan, over his attempt to use her for money rituals.
Caroline confessed to the court that her husband took her panties to a herbalist:
Pastor Ayemisani, who was a carpenter before he became a pastor, denied
all the allegations. He said that his wife was telling lies against
him, insisting that he is a "real" pastor.
He also alleged that they never had problem until she started moving with bad friends.
“Since she joined the club of bad friends 10 years ago, she has become uncontrollable,” he said.
Funny enough, Pastor Ayemisan told the court that he was not ready to divorce his wife and he is now ready to change his wrong ways.
The court president, Mr. Godwin Awosola, adjourned the case for judgment with a warning that the couple and all other related parties should maintain peace.
The wife, Caroline, however insisted that she can't stay in one house with him so as not to be used for rituals.
Caroline confessed to the court that her husband took her panties to a herbalist:
“He is the one that deflowered me, now he wants to use me for money rituals and has taken my panties to a herbalist. this was why I took my belongings out of his house.
“My husband insisted that he has to be rich by whatever means, and that was why he joined the secret cult. He has put a sign on my child for ritual purpose. He even tried to inflict me and one of our children with partial stroke.
“Though he is the father of our seven children, I will not go back to his house.”
According to Caroline, they got married 44 years ago and have grown up
children. She added that they were living in harmony before their
marriage started facing challenges due to her husband's greed.

ASUU’s NEC Meeting To Hold After 7 Days Mouring Of Iyayi
Dr. Olusegun Ajiboye claimed that stories which made the rounds on Saturday, that the National Executive Council, NEC, would hold an emergency meeting in Kano, were false. Ajiboye was speaking in an interview on Diamond FM, University of Ibadan and stated that no meeting was scheduled for yesterday, as they were still in the middle of a seven-day morning, which was declared in honour of the late Professor Festus Iyayi, a former national chairman of the Union.
It would be recalled that Iyayi lost his life in a fatal crash, on his way to Bayero University, Kano, where members of ASUU were to meet and reach a final decision, on whether to continue with the strike or accept the federal government’s offer. It is hoped that at the expiration of the 7days mourning of Iyayi, the union will reconvene to ratify decision on the lingering strike that has paralysed the academic activities of public universities in the country.

25 Students, 2 Teachers Inhale Toxic Chemical In Ogba Grammar School! Rushed To Hospital
Twenty-five students and two teachers of Ogba Junior Grammar School in
Ogba, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, were yesterday evening rushed to a
hospital after they inhaled emission from a toxic chemical.
It was gathered that the unconscious students and teachers were immediately rushed to Blue Cross Hospital, located opposite the shopping mall for urgent medical attention.
A medical doctor at the hospital declined to comment on the condition of the students and teachers. Two of the affected female students whose condition was critical were transferred in a Lagos State Emergency Ambulance marked LA 156 A08 to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, in Ikeja.
P.M.NEWS learnt that at about 12 noon, the students and teachers were in the school when they began to feel dizzy and collapsed after inhaling the emission from chemical spread to their school premises by air.
Following the incident, some of the teachers raised an alarm which attracted some members of the public, who immediately called officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency on their toll free lines.
One of the officials of LASEMA told P.M.NEWS that the gas emission was traced to Bizcircuit Colour Laboratory, located within the premises of Ogba Shopping Mall just at the back of the school. According to the official, the chemical in the lab may have expired.
Speaking on the incident, Femi Giwa, Head of Logistics for LASEMA said that it was not an explosive as some members of the public were saying, but an emission, which was immediately traced to the lab, after carrying out an emergency assessment of the entire place.
Security agents comprising the police, NSCDC officials, and LASEMA officials cordoned off the entire area to prevent people from gaining access to the school and the shopping mall.
