I Haven’t Done "It" In The Last 10 Years, Genevieve Nnaji

Many are doubting her claim, saying it is just the trick she is using to fool the man that wants to marry her but Ms Genevieve Nnaji has a shocker for you guys, insisting no man has "entered" her in the last 10 years.

Below is what Genevieve said about her "thing":
I have been single for so long, it hasn’t been easy, even when dbanj came along with his thing that wasn’t long he kept saying NO LONG THING..NO LONG THING.. never [knew] that was he meant it till i saw it, it was even shorter than his harmonica… We couldn’t settle down.
"Luckily for me, I have found a man now to spend the rest of my life with.”
So, what do you think, could it be true that Genny's "thing" has been close in for about 10 years?

Senate denies endorsing early marriage law

Contrary to what is believed by some people, the Senate has not amended the constitution to encourage early marriage.

This was the position of the Senate while describing the controversy trailing its voting on the issue of the age for denouncing citizenship as a product of ignorance and mischief.

The Senate's Deputy President and Chairman of its Committee on Constitution Amendment, Ike Ekweremadu, declared at a press briefing in Abuja that it only tried to delete an existing clause in the constitution which it considered discriminatory against women.

According to him, "the decision of the Senate on this part has been wildly misinterpreted, misreported, and totally taken out of context."

Ekweremadu said: "Section 29(4) (b) was recommended for deletion because the committee considered it discriminatory. Section 29(4) (a) has already defined 'full age' as age 18 and above. We considered it gender discriminatory and imbalance to place the man and woman on different scales in matters of citizenship renunciation.

"If there is no gender discrimination in matters relating to voting rights, education age, driving age, and so on, we felt this discrimination was abnormal and, in fact, an inelegant drafting. As such, it was recommended for deletion, but could not pass eventually. In essence, the Senate has not done anything new to that part of the constitution."

Ekweremadu stated that the issue voted upon had nothing to do with Islam or marriage.

He added: "On the issue of Section 29, I want to appeal to Nigerians to please show understanding, to possibly read this section and understand that the issue has nothing to do with early marriage.

"It has nothing to do with Islam. Essentially, it has to do with the renunciation of citizenship.

"So, you have to give it a proper perspective. I want to assure Nigerians that in the future, we are ready to revisit it if Nigerians feel strongly about it.

"We have no bill to approve early marriage. We are not sponsoring any bill against Islam. This particular provision has been in our Constitution since 1979. Ours was an attempt to remove that aspect so that men and women would have equal footing regarding the issue of renunciation of citizenship. And we will never support early marriage."

Meanwhile, there are indications that the controversial 2013 amendment bill would be passed into law today. The bill scaled second reading on the floor of the upper legislative chamber yesterday.

According to Senate President David Mark, senators would be taking the clause by clause considerations of the bill today after which it might be passed into law.

Following the second reading of the bill, it has been traditionally referred to the Committee on Appropriation, which is expected to make legislative input and return it to the floor within 24 hours.

But reacting to the alleged Senate approval of early marriage, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) threatened to embark on a street protest.

Describing the move as a legalisation of sexual abuse of underage girls, the President of CAN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, threatened that he would personally mobilise Nigerians and lead the street protest.

Other Nigerians also condemned the resolution yesterday.

In a statement in Abuja, Oritsejafor stated that CAN vehemently rejected the Senate's position and called on the upper chamber to be more reasonable by revisiting the issue. He called on all Nigerians of good conscience to resist the resolution.

He said: "The section if amended would imply that a girl of any age can be constitutionally allowed to marry. Why would the Senate after voting recoil simply because a point of order premised on religious basis was raised? We Christians also have canon law which frowns on marriage of girls who are not of age. Christianity abhors such marriages. The protest will be soon.

"As the leader of Christians in Nigeria, I am particularly irked by the statement credited to Senator Ahmed Yerima, a former governor of Zamfara State, to the effect that the proposal for the deletion of section 29 (4) (b) is at variance with Islamic law. This argument is offensive because it presupposes that Nigeria, a secular state, is populated only by Muslims.

"Yerima is again, advertently stirring up another controversy about the supremacy of Islamic law … after the one he raised when he introduced Sharia, the Islamic legal code, in Zamfara State. I think the problem is that people like Senator Yerima are approaching Qur'anic teachings from extremes and disturbing the balance. It makes me wonder the source of their emotions and thoughts that nurture them. I urge the Yerimas in the Senate to toe the path of the Holy Qur'an in (5:32) which states that one who kills a person unjustly in effect has killed everyone and one who saves another has saved everyone. They should save these girls and Nigerians the agony of having their children married off at ages below 18 by unfavourable legislation."
Oritsejafor stressed that the resolution of the Senate to amend Section 29 (4) (b) was selfish, delusive and a contravention of all known international conventions, protocols and ethics on the rights of the child to which Nigeria is a signatory.

"Child bride should not be encouraged or allowed in Nigeria. With over 12,000 women quoted by the National Demographic Health Survey as living with the Vesico Vaginal Fistula (VVF) every year in Nigeria, fine-tuning laws that would enable desiring Nigerians to marry primary school pupils is not what our legislators should be involved in. Rather, the Senate should strengthen the nation's constitution by protecting all citizens' rights, especially those of children from abuse.

"As a senator whose case of marrying a 13-year-old Egyptian girl is still fresh in the memory of Nigerians, Yerima should only be seen and not heard in matters of this nature. If now he is commenting on a case in which he has interest, it can only mean the action of a man frenziedly trying to get himself out of the hook through some undeserved legislation.

"I appeal to those individuals who have been educated along this line in the Senate not to use their rights as lawmakers to harm children below the age of 18, but to choose the interest of these children above their own. These girls should be allowed to develop, individually because this resolution, if implemented, would hound girls below 18 years into marriages they know nothing about. This is only one dimension of this tragic resolution.

"I feel that when individuals attain a certain way of thinking and understanding and reach certain status in life, they should be able to comprehend that it is necessary to adhere to conventions in line with best practices the world over and not harm other members of society, no matter their ages within the same society."

On her part, the founder of the Women Empowerment and Legal Aid (WELA), Mrs. Funmi Falana, urged the Senate to review its decision by deleting the controversial section 29 (4) (b) of the constitution which states that married woman shall be deemed to be of full age.

She gave the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Mr. Mohammed Adoke (SAN), one month within which to prosecute Yerima for marrying a 13-year-old girl.

Addressing the media yesterday on "Child Marriage and the Constitution" in Lagos, the rights advocate threatened to initiate criminal proceedings against Yerima, should the AGF fail to do so within one month.
Also, women rights agitators yesterday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, continued their agitation for respect for the rights of women and the girl-child in the review of the constitution.

They expressed deep concern over the silence by the National Assembly on the issue of affirmative action. They urged the Senate to review the issue of child marriage, describing it as "a national disgrace that portrays Nigeria as a primitive society."

A statement by the President and Director of Publicity of the Conference of Non-Governmental Organisations (CONGOs), Jude Obasanmi and Destiny Enabulele, said they were frustrated "with the declaration conceded by the Senate to preserve the provision of Section 29 (4) (b) of the 1999 constitution."
They said that the majority of Nigerians had expressed their position that Section 29 (4) (b) did not deserve to be in the constitution expected to people-oriented.

At a stakeholders meeting including members of the House of Assembly in Benin City and civil society organisations in Edo State, Executive Director, Gender and Development Action (GADA), Mrs. Ada Agina-Udeat, said the retention of the extant provision that any woman that is married is deemed to be an adult only confirmed the futility of the talk about women development.

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 45-year old man, Toyin Sodimu, for allegedly raping his 16-year-old daughter in Temidire community of Oke Apo, Akomoje, Abeokuta.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said in a statement that the teenager reported the incident to the Adatan Police Division after her father raped her about 2am last Saturday.

Adejobi, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said following Sodimu's arrest, the 16-year old girl had been taken to the  hospital by the police for medical examination and treatment.

The statement read in part, "The policemen attached to Adatan Divisional Headquarters in Abeokuta, Ogun State, have arrested one Toyin Sodimu in Temidire community of Oke Apo, Akomoje Abeokuta after he raped his own daughter, aged 16 year on Saturday.

"The lady went to report the ugly incident to the police in Adatan division after her father had forcefully had a carnal knowledge of her in her room at about 0200hrs on Saturday.

"The victim has been taken to the Abeokuta General Hospital by the police for examination and treatment.
"The Commissioner of police Ogun State, Ikemefuna Okoye, has ordered full scale investigation into the horrible incident and vowed to make the suspect face the wrath of the law  to serve as deterrent to other cruel and devilish fathers who may want to venture into raping their daughters in the state.

"Okoye has  also appealed to parents particularly mothers to keep watch on their children and avoid collapse of marriages which is perceived to be a catalyst  to cases like this.

"He urges other rape victims to always emulate this victim's bravery to report any rape case which will help the police tackle rape and related offences in the state"

Adejobi said the police command would partner with the state's  Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development  to find a lasting solution to the menace.

Keshi reveals Mikel Obi’s secret

Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has revealed the secret of the recent scintillating performances of Chelsea midfielder, John Obi Mikel, for the national team.

Mikel, who was named 2nd best player at the FIFA U20 World Cup behind Lionel Messi, had seen his stock drop since those days.

At one point, Nigerian football fans questioned his loyalty and commitment to the Super Eagles cause, but all that changed at the 2013 Nations Cup, when Mikel turned out five star performances, and he has been on the upward spiral since.

The turn-around came as a result of frank talk between the midfielder and the coach.

Keshi told Mikel to buckle up and show Nigerians that he really is a patriot, and not the I-don’t-care character the press portrays, a source in the NFF said.

Keshi had called him and asked why he is not giving his all to the team. It was a discussion, as Mikel reiterated his patriotism and commitment.

The coach then discussed tactics with Mikel, who is quite intelligent. It was about how the team could get the best out of his game. And the result has been there for all to see.

Mikel has been outstanding for the Eagles, and the good form continued to the Confederations Cup in Brazil, where the Chelsea man stood his ground, especially in the games against  Uruguay.

Great Britain Celebrates The Arrival Of Will And Kate's Son

After hours of keeping the entire royal family and all their well wishers waiting, Prince William's wife Kate has delivered the future King of Britain at about 4:25pm (London time) on Monday July 22. It's a baby boy and the whole of UK is in celebration mood already.

I Did'nt Send My mother-in-law Packing, Joseph Yobo Denies

There were rumours recently (You probably didn't hear it...I didn't either) that Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo sent his mother-in-law, Mrs Abigail Igwe Fashanu packing from his home for being a bad influence on her daughter, his wife, Adaeze Igwe. He tells Maestro Media, it's not true.

''There's is no iota of truth in the report that has gained grounds of recent. There was no encounter of the such that was described to have happened between my mother-in-law and I. We as a family are in the best of place in our lives currently. Someone from some place, just sat down and decided to construct a lie, a total fabrication from their own imagination.
"I love my wife very much, nothing anyone does can bring any division between us and between our families. There was never a time that I sent my Mother-in-Law packing from my home for being a bad influence on her own daughter, who is my wife. How can people just come up with stories about what never happened.
The Yobos and the Fashanus have a great relationship, a fantastic one at that and very good mutual respect for each other, and we thank God for that.

'We have no problems at all.  We have two great houses next to each other in Istanbul, Turkey that is big enough to accommodate our families, without anyone invading on anyone's privacy. They are just trying to destroy the two families.

When we first came across the stories, we thought okay it was just one of those silly little gossips and that it would soon fade away and be forgotten. Only for us to read it and found out it was very well orchestrated pack of lies, from the beginning to the end of it: they didn't even know where I am from and claimed I am from Plateau State.

They constructed lies about my mother-in-law and her family, claiming all that is not true and that they have no proof of. Most definitely, this is just somebody trying to damage these families. I can tell you categorically, I would not swap my wife for anybody in this world, no woman from anywhere can take her place, she means the world to me.

The number of calls we have received over this falsehood is unbelievable. People calling to find out what was going on.  I tell you now and this is the absolute truth- ''My wife is my best friend, she's my queen, she's my everything, our families are doing great and doing very well together. Anyone thinking otherwise is only wasting his or her time.

I am not going to allow anyone disrespect my Mother-in-law wrongfully. I am not going to accept this. They have stepped way out of line this time and I am not going to take it lying low. We would definitely seek legal redress.

MOTHER BRINGS BABY BACK TO LIFE WITH TWO HOURS OF LOVING CUDDLES

MOTHER BRINGS BABY BACK TO LIFE WITH TWO HOURS OF LOVING CUDDLES AFTER DOCTORS PRONOUNCE HIM DEAD

Please Share This Incredible Story

It was a final chance to say goodbye for grieving mother Kate Ogg after doctors gave up hope of saving her premature baby. She tearfully told her lifeless son – born at 27 weeks weighing 2lb – how much she loved him and cuddled him tightly, not wanting to let him go. Although little Jamie’s twin sister Emily had been delivered successfully, doctors had given Mrs Ogg the news all mothers dread – that after 20 minutes of battling to get her son to breathe, they had declared him dead.

Having given up on a miracle, Mrs Ogg unwrapped the baby from his blanket and held him against her skin. And then an extraordinary thing happened. After two hours of being hugged, touched and spoken to by his mother, the little boy began showing signs of life.

At first, it was just a gasp for air that was dismissed by doctors as a reflex action. But then the startled mother fed him a little breast milk on her finger and he started breathing normally.

‘I thought, “Oh my God, what’s going on”,’ said Mrs Ogg. ‘A short time later he opened his eyes. It was a miracle. Then he held out his hand and grabbed my finger. ‘He opened his eyes and moved his head from side to side. The doctor kept shaking his head saying, “I don’t believe it, I don’t believe it”.’

The Australian mother spoke publicly for the first time yesterday to highlight the importance of skin-on-skin care for sick babies, which is being used at an increasing number of British hospitals.

In most cases, babies are rushed off to intensive care if there is a serious problem during the birth. But the ‘kangaroo care’ technique, named after the way kangaroos hold their young in a pouch next to their bodies, allows the mother to act as a human incubator to keep babies warm, stimulated and fed. Pre-term and low birth-weight babies treated with the skin-to-skin method have also been shown to have lower infection rates, less severe illness, improved sleep patterns and are at reduced risk of hypothermia.

Mrs Ogg and her husband David told how doctors gave up on saving their son after a three-hour labour in a Sydney hospital in March. The doctor asked me had we chosen a name for our son,’ said Mrs Ogg. ‘I said, “Jamie”, and he turned around with my son already wrapped up and said, “We’ve lost Jamie, he didn’t make it, sorry”.

‘It was the worse feeling I’ve ever felt. I unwrapped Jamie from his blanket. He was very limp. ‘I took my gown off and arranged him on my chest with his head over my arm and just held him. He wasn’t moving at all and we just started talking to him. ‘We told him what his name was and that he had a sister. We told him the things we wanted to do with him throughout his life.’

Jamie occasionally gasped for air, which doctors said was a reflex action. But then I felt him move as if he were startled, then he started gasping more and more regularly. ‘I gave Jamie some breast milk on my finger, he took it and started regular breathing.’

Mrs Ogg held her son, now five months old and fully recovered, as she spoke on the Australian TV show Today Tonight. Her husband added: ‘Luckily I’ve got a very strong, very smart wife. ‘She instinctively did what she did. If she hadn’t done that, Jamie probably wouldn’t be here.

Tonto Dikeh Replies Iyanya: "Nigga Sounds Pained"

I must say I am very surprised with Tonto's response after Iyanya said he would dine with Genevieve, die for Yvonne Nelson and dust off Tonto Dikeh on live TV. Tonto replied with a very subtly answer.

Tonto seems to be the matured one here, what do you think?

"I'd die for Yvonne Nelson' - Iyanya says

Iyanya was a guest on youths program Rubbing Minds this afternoon on Channels TV and according to the host of the show, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Iyanya said he would dine with Genevieve, die for his ex girlfriend Yvonne Nelson and dust off another ex, Tonto Dikeh during a chat on the show. What does 'dust off' mean?

Iyanya: Dust Off Tonto Dikeh”

TV personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu recently had an interview with Kukere master on Channels TV‘s Rubbin’ Minds show. Ebuka asked Iyanya a couple of questions, one of which was who will he die for, dine with and dust off? His answer was “I’ll Die for Yvonne Nelson, Dine with Genevieve Nnaji & Dust Off Tonto Dikeh”.
OMG! I cant wait for Tonto's reply.

Miss Bayelsa won MBGN 2013 and was appointed Special Adviser on Tourism & Culture

Eighteen-year-old Anna Banner has been crowned the 26th Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria. The young lady, who contested as Miss Bayelsa on Saturday night, received the crown from her predecessor, Isabella Ayuk, at  the grand finale  in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. The 5.6-foot  fair complexioned  teenager  beat  Stephanie Okwu (Miss Imo) and Powede Lawrence(Miss Adamawa)  to the second and  third  positions respectively. With the victory, Banner won a brand new car. She will  represent Nigeria at the Miss World 2013 finale in Jakarta, Indonesia. The pageant,  organised by Silverbird Group,  was hosted by the Bayelsa State Government in Yenagoa. Well, here’s the bombshell… If you watched the show on STV, you will find out that “she knew the questions before hand + Miss Bayelsa didn’t even have the surprised look of a winner” the whole show was kinda orchestrated. And then, the organiser of the show is Bayelsan Host State = Bayelsa Sponsor = Bayelsa Government Winner = Bayelsan The maths is pretty simple, aint it? And to top it all, a 18yr old girl who probably has no experience whatsoever in tourism matters being made.

He took to his instagram page to explain that there's a Swarovski diamond edition of his Taste of Diamond champagne. The diamond encrusted bottle is worth £1.2m, while the Swarovski version is just £350.

"Wow!!! Seems the media has taking my instagram & changed it to their own. Swarovski diamond edition as stated in my instagram is £350 not £1.2m" Amosu wrote

Sex or Food: How Couples Should Get It Going

I can’t get my husband’s food ready and at the same time be his fantasy sex partner. It is not possible. One has to give way. A working class wife told me this on the phone:

'He wants his food and sex at the time I thought the ‘only way to a man’s heart is through his stomach’.

Well, the truth is that even after you feed your man well with the best delicacies that money can buy, with an average husband, food and sex still goes hand-in-glove.

Ladies, no matter what you think, it is what you do in bed and in other matters, apart from food, that will guarantee a sealed deal between you and your man.

I am not saying that giving him good sex is the ‘only’ way to set your marriage on the path of bliss. What I mean is that everything else could amount to nothing without great sex. As a matter of fact, sex is so important to your man, just as it is to other men. It will be unwise not to live up to his expectation in bed even if you are a good cook.

Although most women are not trained to make their men eat well and at the same time be good in bed and make their husbands scream their heads off in the heat of the action, it will not hurt to appreciate the fact that sex is an art that one can learn.

I want to talk about what every woman who wants to keep her man should know. They are little things that we always take for granted, which frankly speaking, make a world of difference between satisfying our men sexually and alienating them, thereby, giving room to unnecessary quarrels in the home.

To begin with, if there is one place in your home that you need to pay a lot of attention to, it is the kitchen and the bedroom. As much as every woman endeavours to keep her kitchen neat and good, wise women understand the need to turn the bedroom into one unpretentious sex theatre.

Everything in your bedroom must look, smell and taste sexy from the beddings to the décor and right down to the lighting. It is important to eliminate distractions by restricting, for example, the television set to the sitting room (where it really ought to be) and ensuring that books remain in the study. The bedroom should only be for making romantic conversation, curdling and sleeping in a peaceful manner, and for making hot and unforgettable sex. Nothing else is acceptable.

The kitchen has been known to be the woman’s territory. Ladies, you should keep your ‘sexual empire’ neat at all times. Nothing kills the passion faster than faded, unappealing and ugly grandma-type of underwear, or cheap, low quality brassieres and pyjamas. Investing in good and sexy lingerie will not only elicit an appreciative response from your husband, it will also ensure that you get his praises for food well prepared and undivided attention.

Flaunt your God-given body lustfully before your man while serving his meal because it is your unique gift to him. A confident display of your body in a seductive manner is a sure turn-on for any man, and quite honestly, chances are he will not care that your figure is not the drop-dead, come-hither type that keeps heads turning in its direction.

It will not cost you a dime to be adventurous in your own bedroom. Place his food on a small side table in the bedroom. It is the perfect place to whet his sexual fantasy. While you are at it, remember that going through the same sexual routine all the time will lead both of you nowhere. Therefore, it is important to break the monotony by trying out something new.

For example, you can decide to share his meal in-between you on the bed and afterwards, turn off the light and seal the dinner with ‘desert sex’ and surprise him with a bit of bedroom acrobatics. If he is the one who makes the first move, now is the time to take the initiative for a change. Go all out to spice up your sex life. Dream up new ideas.

Doing this will not make you look like a slut; rather it will transform you into every man’s dream. Believe me, with most men, there is nothing that is as thrilling as a wife with a creative chef habit and a healthy sexual appetite.

If the kitchen activities are cumbersome, there are caterers who specialise in preparing special local delicacy. They are all around us, once in a while you can place an order and make do with such for a while. Some people can cook better than you do and feed your family well with a healthy balance diet, but nobody else should be able to give him great sex. So when it comes to placing priority, food and sex with man most times go hand in glove.
